Our Story
The Evanex Foundation was founded to address the persistent healthcare and welfare gaps that affect communities across Ghana’s Western Region — one life, one community at a time.
Direction
Mission
To empower communities in the Western Region through sustainable healthcare, education, and welfare programs that create lasting change.
Vision
A Ghana where every citizen — regardless of location — has equal access to quality healthcare and opportunities for growth.
Leadership
Founder & Executive Director
“We started the Evanex Foundation because we saw firsthand the suffering in our communities — hospitals without equipment, children without access to care. We decided that complaining wasn’t enough. We had to act.”
Evans Ghartey is a licensed pharmacist with a background in public health and community-based healthcare delivery. Drawing on years of working directly with underserved populations in Ghana’s Western Region, he founded the Evanex Foundation to bridge the critical gap between available resources and those who need them most. His work spans free health screening campaigns, medication access programs, and youth welfare initiatives that have collectively touched thousands of lives across the region.
What We Stand For
We hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards in every program and partnership we undertake.
Every decision we make is guided by genuine empathy for the individuals and families we serve.
We measure success not by intention but by the tangible, measurable difference we make in people’s lives.
We build programs designed to outlast our involvement, rooting change within communities themselves.
We maintain open, honest communication with donors, partners, and the communities we serve.
Every strategy, project, and initiative begins and ends with the needs and voices of the communities we serve.
